Sherman M. Kyle aka Velle, the CEO/Owner of Cleveland Money Gettas, dreamed of being one of the greatest performer/ song writers to originate out of his hometown of Cleveland, Ohio starting at the age of 12 years old. "My love of music came from my love of poetry. It's a way for me to express myself and get all that bottled up frustration, pain and happiness out of my system. Better out than in." Starting his own record label is one of the highlight moments in his music career insuring that he has a promising career in the music industry. "Yeah I made some wrong choices in my life but hell, I'm just human. I regret nothing and learn from my mistakes."
Velle, the youngest of 4 children (3 sisters) grew up in your average African American household with a loving mother that sometimes felt that she always had to protect her son. At first it was hard for her to see outside the box and support Velle in his dreams of being a rap star, which is understandable. Who really thinks they would have given birth to s star. Now she backs him 100% and she is the first one at all of his shows in the front row, cheering as her baby boy lights up the stage taking this world by storm. Velle's father had his own downfalls and hardships with gambling and drugs but tried his best to be a good father and husband to his family. "My father and I never really had that father-son bond. I did my own thing and he let me. Yeah, I wanted him to be there a little bit more but everything doesn't turn out how you plan. So my best bet was to take life for what it is and make it better." At the age of 16 is when Velle recorded his first song and met his first true love in his mother's basement. "I have come a long way. When I was first starting out I bought a $10 dollar mic and headphones with the Acid program to record myself. Then I would take the mixtape I made and make everybody in my family listen to it. All they would say is that I needed better sound quality." That's exactly what he did when he hooked up with Prince and from there linked up with Dr. Marlowe (Mauly T.) Taylor. Cleveland Money Gettas , LLC was established in 2011 when Velle hired David L. McKinney of DLM & Associates, LLC. as his business consultant. "It was like I woke up one day and said okay Velle, it's your time to make your mark on this industry." That and the motivation from all the haters telling him it's possible for someone to start their own independent record label in Cleveland and become a success. What is keeping the fuel burning in this young, black entrepreneur? He currently released his new mixtape, "I Thought It'd Be Harder - Tuned Up". This mixtape is a certified club banger, something you and your significant other will listen to and enjoy. The hot new single "Money Is The Motivator" is also being released as a bonus track on the mixtape as a preview of what's to come from CMG Records, with Velle front and center, ready to take this world by storm. "The only thing hold me back is me.... and I'm the hardest working person I know so great things await me." This is Team CMG Ohio, Velle is here, got something to say and you don't want to be the last to hear about it. TRUST ME!
