When I was little, I loved music and started playing drums. I loved playing drums and took on that instrument for years until I was around 12 years old. At the age of 12 I started composing my own music mainly in the genre of techno. I loved other music but I could only do so much with the software and equipment I had. For a long time I longed to become a musician and record my own music in my own home studio. But I knew that would take a long time to get there. Later at the age of 15 I started playing guitar and took guitar class in high school. To be honest I didn't learn lots and it didn't help that I played the guitar upside down, meaning I played a right handed guitar left handed. But I eventually adapted and tought myself to play a right handed guitar left handed. Through high school I took breaks from my music and joined multiple bands trying to find if I was better in a band setting or just by myself, but for years I had written music alone and gotten used to writing and composing music on my own, which made it way easier to do things the way I wanted to. I joined bands and left bands, and finally one day I saved up enough money to buy a decent studio microphone and a interface with two microphone inputs. Then I started writing more electro-pop music and leant how to set up and record vocals to my own instrumental tracks that I composed, mostly using the program Fl studio, and to record my vocals I used cubase. I studied a lot on how to mix music and do the best I could. Years went by just writing electronic music and recording music slowly getting better and better at mixing and writing music. Eventually I ended up buying my own guitar, and started recording guitar. My music took a big turn from electro-pop to acoustic-pop. It wasn't easy at first to record guitar and mix it, especially when I was used to making an instrumental and recording vocals to the instrumental track. As time went on I got better at guitar and better at recording my own music. I came up with my own music project called "City Virtue" and for years now I have been working on this project. I eventually went to bible college and studied Christian theology and worked on getting a degree in ministry. While I was in college I recorded an album that I named "In my mind" and released it on the internet on many music websites and worked on promoting it, I sold it to many people in my school and got some exposure. I then took a break from writing music and worked on just getting exposure for the my album. This album was inspired deeply by my emotions at the time I wrote it, I was dealing with a lot of depression and finding out more about myself. After it was all said and done, I am thankful for what I went through because I came out with an art that others can relate to and have comfort in. As I continue to write music, I strive to write music that people can enjoy and relate to, as well as just have something to listen to. One day I hope I can change a life or show people my true self through my music.
