Cole Phoenix Nominated for Best New Top40 Artist of the Year – 2015 New Music Awards amongst Iggy Azalea, Meghan Trainor, Charlie XCX, Sam Smith, Bill Currerri.
Since her 2010 debut album "Wild Love", Phoenix has released a self titled album - 2012 "Cole Phoenix" and two singles, "UFO" and "Hello" respectively for the upcoming album "She's on Fire" set for a 2015 release. Cole has also written a novel "The Phoenix" set to be published 2015 with a corresponding script in development.
Under the name Vivienne Vecci, Phoenix released her first album before deciding to change her stage name to something more personal (Cole a nickname she had ever since a neighbour's toddler couldn't pronounce the initial syllables of Nicole) and Phoenix a nod to her Greek heritage and symbolic of this ever changing artist and how she views the entertainment industry itself - "a fickle bird demanding constant reinvention." Cole and her partner Nicolas Jacobi formed Noble NoBull Productions, sharing a vision for an indie company that would create quality productions which were innovative and imaginative. The name Noble NoBull coming from pun loving Phoenix but with Jacobi vowing to commit to the principles.
"Wild Love" was produced under this label as well as several music videos filmed in Queenstown New Zealand followed by the second album "Cole Phoenix". Cole's anti-bullying single from this self titled album (CANNIBAL) garnered attention in New York and Las Vegas as well as in her home country Australia for its success in the International Songwriting Competition 2013.
Two music videos for the upcoming album "She's On Fire" have been filmed and directed by Jacobi and Phoenix herself. The first ("UFO") was filmed in Vancouver, Canada and the second ("Hello") was filmed in London, United Kingdom. The first single "UFO" and its video both received international attention, following its release on YouTube, the Official "UFO" Music Video achieved over 17,000 views in one week and reached over 25 broadcasting networks during the campaign. After 20 weeks (13th June 2014) UFO the single secured #1 in Top40 Internet, #28 in Top40, #4 in AC/Hot AC, #3 in AC/Hot AC Internet, #8 in Top 100 (Top40 and AC/Hot AC Formats) and #10 in the Hot 100 Singles (Top40 and AC/Hot AC Formats) Charts. Other hits from Phoenix including Bubba, Hic up Drunk in Love, Falling for You and Love Will Reign all received airplay time on national Australian radio stations.
"Hello" is set for a New Year's Day worldwide release to coincide with new beginnings and fuel the Cole Phoenix fire ready to blaze 2015. The Official "Hello" Music Video is set to a backdrop of festive London, Cole strolls light adorned London streets in a vintage dress at 2 degrees Celsius - 35.6 degrees Fahrenheit. The music video was completely filmed on an iPhone 6 Plus by Nicolas Jacobi and Cole Phoenix during a brief sojourn to the United Kingdom for the World Premiere of "The Hobbit" finale which the couple both attended. Phoenix and Jacobi were also invited to the "red" carpet US premiere for "The Hobbit: The Battle of the Five Armies" held at the Dolby Theatre Los Angeles.
