Author, songwriter and musician born and bred in Brussels, Nicolas Nayaert (alias Blaede) creates in 2000 the alternative rock band Auramancer, along with childhood friends. After a few gigs and a 4 tracks demo, the band is put on hold in 2005.
In 2007, along with two other musicians, he founds the stoner rock band "the1984" with influences such as Alice in Chains, Down, Silverchair, heading for a more aggressive and yet groovy rock style.
In 2011, he writes, records and produces his first album entitled "Room 101" at studio Sainte-Marthe in Paris. The album is very well received by critics and allows “the1984” to play a lot of shows and take part successfully to the main music competitions across Belgium.
In February 2013, Blaede leaves the band to focus on his solo project. He decides to take back the name of Auramancer but to continue as a solo artist with the participation of professional musicians.
The first solo album, "Golconda", came out on October 1st, 2014. Auramancer music is influenced by the grunge and alternative scene of the early 90’s. Tracks have clear references to bands like The Smashing Pumpkins, Nirvana, Incubus, although it was decided from the start that the album should have a modern sound and production.
Blaede and his musicians are now ready to present this album on stage. It’s also available on all streaming/download platforms.
