I am a solo acoustic singer/songwriter based near Leeds. I can play Harmonica, Banjo, Ukulele, Mandolin, Flute, Percussion, some-Piano. My first band was The Blueskins, a four piece blues/rock band. We were together eight months before we were signed by Domino records and EMI publishing. We went on to play several tours in UK, including is alongside bands like Kaiser Chiefs, The Cribs, Future Heads, Bloc Party etc. And supported bands like Shed Seven, John Squire, Libertines etc.. We also toured Europe and played several gigs in the United States (San Francisco, New York, Texas SXSW festival). I also recorded an EP with Dennis Herring in Oxford Mississippi and recorded another single in Clarksdale MS. We also played many festivals including Leeds and Reading.
One of my songs "Change my mind" was used in a Lynx TV ad and on "The Dukes of Hazzard" movie and Sound track. Also "Lager and Lime" was used in a US movie called "Hall Pass" After two years the band split and we went our separate ways. From then and I went solo and released my own first album "Fable" with a US label called Candyrat Records. I went on to do a US tour and played Chicago, St Louis, Illinois, Arkansas, Austin Texas, New Orleans, Dallas TX, Iowa, Ohio including others.. Then was the release of my second album "In Another World" in October 2012.
I have also had sessions with BBC Radio including with John Peel and Tom Robinson and also sessions with XFM and 6Music and recorded at Abbey Road.
Many older songs and ideas I have written have been used commercially and can still be heard on TV and radio. I am always writing new material simply because I need to. As long as I have emotion and thought, I will be writing songs and poems.
I went to Art College for three years and when I find the time I enjoy drawing/painting and Sculpture.
I put my heart into everything I do.
