Glenn Godfrey is a UK Pop artist born and raised in Essex and has been writing song lyrics since he was thirteen. During his musical journey he has had his talents praised by the one and only, Ed Drewett, songwriter of hits such as 'All Time Low' (The Wanted), 'Dear Darlin' (Olly Murs) & 'Best Song Ever' (One Direction) - a huge achievement!
In March 2013 Glenn released his first debut solo single titled "I'm Young", from releasing this he received amazing feedback and support. Such as; he had local newspapers featuring him in the papers to help share the song around and festivals offering performance slots, one main one being Buntsfest where he gained the slot of "Warm Up Act" for the Headliner on the main stage.
In April 2013 Glenn entered another talent show called "Rhodes Got Talent" where after successful auditions in front of some great judges, he made it all the way to the Grand Final! Although he didn't win the competition Glenn had the whole audience up on there feet clapping along to him, this in its self was a great experience and achievement for Glenn.
Glenn also just secured himself a slot at this years Brownstock festival (2013) performing alongside the likes of; Devlin, Professor Green, Delilah, The Fratellis, Mark Ronson and many more. He sent in his debut single I'm Young and they listened to the track and loved it, they went on to say "The perfect track to dance to on a sunny day, can't wait to see him take to the stage at Brownstock". Over 1000 other musicians applied to play this slot and out of everyone Glenn was picked to not only play but to be on the main stage.
In November 2013 Glenn released his second single "Superhero" with the official video online and downloadable from iTunes. When it was released Glenn had a presenter from Signal 1 Radio Station in Stoke-On-Trent contact him, he asked Glenn if he would be willing to turn on the towns christmas lights in Longton with all accommodation paid for. This was a fantastic opportunity "I loved every second of it, the crowd was incredible and I lost count of how many people wanted a photo with me. It was a great feeling to have so many people appreciate the music I do, its something I will remember for a lifetime!" Glenn said.
