Her creations becoming the love children of trap and electronica, Miami-based newcomer Earrthchild delivers ethereal synths, pounding bass lines, and buttery vocals. She first got serious about music in 2010 after a stranger became mesmerized by her singing Bob Marley’s “Redemption Song” in a guitar store. Earrthchild, aka Andria Thomas, credits that moment and that particular song for helping her find her voice. Now days, newbie fans are often surprised to find that she is her own producer, songwriter, vocalist and mixing engineer. “I have these sounds swimming in my head, and only I can bring them to life. That and the fact that I’m an absolute perfectionist. So I really have no choice,” Earrthchild says.
