KING YAOSII AKA KAOS
KAOS aka Michael A. Lee was born on March 20, 1988 and currently resides in Kenner, LA. KAOS comes from a modest and deeply rooted nuclear and extended family. His beginnings are humble like that of most small town hip hop artists struggling to make it in the music industry. The exception for KAOS is his strong family core and faith in God that has shaped him into the positive hardworking and motivated force that he is today. KAOS is the oldest child of Aletha Lee and brother to Jasmine Lee. KAOS is no stranger to carrying the weight for and trying to providing for his family. KAOS’ passion for rapping started at the age of 11 when he moved to California. Like most kids at that age he was trying to find his way both in music and in life. Through cyphers at school he began to be noticed by his peers. At the age of 13 he received the respect of his peers and by the age of 14 Chris Buck (brother of Chris Stokes) took notice of KAOS who was at the time in a group called H.G. (Half Grown). Chris Stokes then took notice of KAOS and wanted to sign KAOS to his label, TUG Entertainment, only if KAOS left his group. KAOS’ loyalty to the group caused the deal to fall through. Between the ages of 17 and 19, KAOS lived in Los Angeles and Las Vegas. There he continued his passion for hip hop which exposed him to various musical talents on the west coast. His lyrical talents garnered requests to be featured on mixtapes and albums with various artists such as his performance as an opening act for the nationally known hip hop group, Bone Thugs n Harmony at Vault 350 in Long Beach, California. During that timespan KAOS continued developing his stage presence and showmanship by performing in clubs in Malibu, on Venice Beach, The Knitting Factory and comedy clubs. Also During this time, his pursuit for musical stardom and need to fund his studio time put him on the path of selling drugs and putting himself in a sudden near death situation that brought him to a moment of nirvana and life correction. In that moment the name KAOS which was a reflection of the status of his life suddenly became a positive. Just as his loyalty was to the group H.G., so was his loyalty to his stage name. This is when the birth of on old name became a new one; K.A.O.S. (Keeping An Original Spirit). Through the tough times he maintained his positivity and faith in God which is reflective in his new direction and new music. His musical goal is to bring light to living positive and pushing the envelope with hip hop by redefining it on his own terms.
