There’s much to say about the versatile-raw talent of Jamel Blair, J Vicious, a young man born in Charity Hospital in New Orleans and raised in Goodman, Mississippi. Starting in 2003 he began to seek the opportunity to become an artist, but as a newcomer in a rural country town all the local talent paid him no mind. In 2005 he relocated to New Orleans with a mindset for success as a rapper and frequented studios eyeballing, analyzing, and studying the art of music production. That’s when J Vicious purchased Fruity Loops. Creating tracks was satisfying, but his passion was to become an artist and he decided to purchase recording equipment in 2006; it gave him the edge he needed.
In 2009 J Vicious decided to own a music group called Swagg Committee Ent. consisting of great talented artists who were involved in great events including opening for Rick Ross. As the group’s artists branched out, he was left to focus on himself. J Vicious met Jamard Jones, Mall Senoj, CEO if Affiliated Muzik, and in 2012 the opportunity was given to J Vicious to showcase his talent all over New Orleans, Texas, Mississippi, and Alabama. Though the relationship came to an end due to disagreements, much experience was gained.
J Vicious followed his friend Mr. Marv and noticed his way of hustle for music and couldn’t resist becoming a part of that movement. 2015 will be a dominant and promising year for the label. His current projects include: “Ridikulous” (single), “Cut Da Check” (single), “Ambition Of a Rider,” and “Only for the Trill.”
