My name is Willie James Covay Fox and I’m a 26 year old aspiring producer from Atlanta, GA. I’ve been producing music for about 13 years now. At a young age I’ve always had a thing for music. I would create instrumentals on my church 6 track keyboard and I would be proud of what I created. As I got more into making instrumentals on the keyboard I wanted to find a program that I could actually make an instrumental on and burn it onto a CD and that’s when I came across FL Studios 5. FL Studio was the first program I ever used, which was a long time ago, but I learned to utilize FL Studios and create instrumentals on it. I was happy with what I was making but I wasn’t satisfied so I began learning about plugins and how they worked such as compressors, EQ’s, de-essers, expanders, anything that I can find out how to improve my craft. Once I learned the plugins I began mixing my music and once again I was satisfied, but I wanted my music to sound more professional so I began to study more into mixing and mastering in depth. As time passed and I graduated high school I was then working with FL Studios 8 Producer Edition and my knowledge of audio engineering had improved, but it still needed work. So I looked into audio hardware. I even began to rap and sing so I invested in a interface, preamp, monitors and a microphone. I studied the craft late nights and early mornings from mixing and master, room acoustics, to mic placements. I wanted the best sound that I could deliver. I joined contest and put my music online on sites such as soundclick.com, structured.com, and ext. I then join the military the year of 2009 where I got stationed in Albuquerque, NM. I missed an opportunity to perform on BET and a chance to open up for Ludacris because I was in service but while I was in service I invested in more equipment to improve of my craft. I learned how to use the industry standard program, Protools 8 LE. I even bought books and DVDs to see how other producers engineered music. Later the year of 2013 I got married to my lovely wife Sherelle Fox who supports my music 100% to where she finds me events to attend. Once I completed my 4 year contract with the military my wife and I moved to Atlanta to began my journey as a aspiring producer. I’ve had amazing encounters since I been back to Atlanta. I’ve had the opportunity to engineer for Platinum selling R&B artist, Keith Sweat. I engineered 2 songs for him. I’ve also produce for local artist around the Greater Atlanta area. I’ve even had my share of bad times where I was burglarized. My apartment was broke into and someone had stolen all of my equipment. I had nothing. I didn’t let that get me down though. I kept writing lyrics for my music. I was blessed to have replace all of my equipment to make things better everything I got after I was burglarized was an upgrade. I’m passionate about what I do and I want to be remember as one of the greatest producers to have make music. I attended the Art Institute of Atlanta for one year but later withdrew from the school because the travel was too far for me to attend and the school just wasn’t for me. I'm always looking for ways to improve my craft and one day I hope to earn many Grammys and other awards for my accomplishment. I'm passionate about what I do and I love it!
